Kelly Ripa fled the country after Michael Strahan blindsided her by quitting their show for GMA. He won't join GMA officially for months, but he showed he's already moving on by hosting Good Morning American on Thursday morning.

Strahan wasted no time in showing up on the Good Morning America set just two days after he blindsided Ripa with the news that he would be leaving Live with Kelly and Michael!

The 44-year-old former NFL star was all smiles as he sat at the anchor desk with Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos and Lara Spencer.

"Kelly sees this as the ultimate betrayal," a source told Page Six about Strahan's abrupt departure.

"There's been a total Ripa meltdown," another source told the paper.

When Strahan first joined GMA in 2014, RadarOnline.com reported that Spencer wasn't happy about the decision, with a source saying she "views Michael as a threat."

Ripa reportedly wasn't told of Strahan's move until after the deal was done. In her fury, she reportedly refused to return to work, instead jetting off to Turks & Caicos for a trip with her husband.

"Kelly didn't want to show up to work and mouth off and say something she would have regretted," another source told Page Six.

"She is upset and didn't want to take it out on her own staff," the publication reported.
