In an ironic twist, when Matt asked Ben for relationship help, the Batman actor suggested the same therapist he and Jen use — and Luciana agreed! “It’s helping Matt and Luciana resolve issues that have built up over the years. It’s those little things that can turn into firestorms,” a source spilled.
RadarOnline.com’s cameras caught Matt, 47, and Luciana, 42, leaving the therapist’s office in Hollywood on Nov. 30, shortly before Ben arrived for a session.
Now, Oscar winner Damon has told pals he and Barroso are on firmer ground.
“Their therapist has taught them skills on how to deal with problems as they arise before they become death traps,” a source said.
What’s more, it’s saved the couple — who have four children — from a $160 million divorce!
“Matt says he wishes they’d done it sooner!” the source told RadarOnline.com.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, when Affleck was initially going through his divorce from Garner, Damon served as a strong pillar of support for his acting buddy.

Longtime friend Damon, along with Affleck’s agent Patrick Whitesell, “has been helping him through this trying time,” an insider told RadarOnline.com at the time.
As his marriage crumbled, the source said, his boys were by his side. “They’re sad this is happening, and it’s made them all strategize ways to work on marriages,” the source explained.
