Maria Shriver enjoyed a Saturday lunch with her daughters and friends at A Votre Santé restaurant in Brentwood, Calif., just days after her ex-husband Arnold Schwarzenegger had emergency open heart surgery. Shriver, 62, ate at the upscale health food restaurant with her daughters on April 8. Their dad, former California governor Schwarzenegger, 70, had an operation on March 29 to replace his pulmonic valve for the second time.
Shriver was married to the actor-turned-politician, who has suffered a variety of heart ailments over the years, from 1986 to 2011.
Shriver and Schwarzenegger's girls Katherine and Christina, along with their sons, must have been desperately worried as their dad had surgery last month.
The former NBC journalist no doubt soothed her daughters about their father's health woes during their lunch—even though they had divorced amid a world of pain.
Radar exclusively reported that Schwarzenegger was on the mend as he was released from the hospital. That meant his daughters could breathe a sigh of relief and enjoy catching up with their mom Maria!
The movie he-man and Shriver finalized their divorce quickly in 2011.
The world was shocked to learn the news that Schwarzenegger had cheated on his wife Shriver with the family's maid. Just one week after announcing he was separating from Kennedy scion Shriver in 2011, Schwarzenegger publicly dropped the bombshell that he'd fathered a child with his former housekeeper Mildred. Schwarzenegger had a big family with Shriver, and is also friendly with his son Joseph by Mildred Baena. His older kids have pushed past the scandal and only want the best for their famous father!
