In a string of bad decisions, Lorde, 21, posted an Instagram post of her steamy-looking bathtub, writing in the caption: “And iiii will always love you.”
While it seemed like an innocent post to some — and even a tribute to the late Whitney Houston — social media haters quickly alluded it to the icon’s dreadful death. As Readers know, Houston accidentally passed away inside a bathtub after ingesting cocaine and suffering from heart problems. Users took to Instagram and Twitter to voice their disapproval of the seemingly insensitive image, with fashion illustrator Hayden Williams even commenting: “Oh no gurrrl…”

Quickly seeing the backlash, the “Royals” singer deleted the controversial photo and wrote an apology.
“Extremely extremely poorly chosen quote. I’m so sorry for offending anyone — I hadn’t even put this together I was just excited to take a bath,” wrote Lorde. “I’m an idiot,” she continued. “Love Whitney forever and ever. Sorry again.”
“It is not my fkin day today,” she added along with three worried-looking emojis.
