Chester Bennington was found dead Thursday morning at his home in Los Angeles from an apparent suicide by hanging, and RadarOnline.com has obtained the shocking images of the horrifying death scene. Click through to see the bone-chilling images where the Linkin Park singer took his own life at the young age of 41.
Officers from LAPD and the LA coroner's office worked at the late singer's home in the Palos Verdes Estates where he died.
While officials investigated the death, a family friend was seen setting up an orange curtain in one of the downstairs rooms.
Radar has also obtained the last known photo taken of Bennington before his untimely death. Pictured here, the singer is seen signing autographs for fans outside London's Brixton Academy.
The photograph was snapped just a couple weeks ago, where he and his band Linkin Park had performed on the night of July 5.
As fans know, Bennington, who was open about his battles with addiction and mental issues, took his life on what would have been his late best friend Chris Cornell's 53rd birthday. Cornell committed suicide in May and Bennington, who even sang at Cornell's L.A. funeral, was said to have been deeply affected by his pal's passing.
“Chester and Chris were so close, and he was never the same after Chris’s death,” an insider told Radar.
As Radar previously reported, friends and family are in absolute shock over his passing. “Chester was one of the brightest and most talented people on this planet, and he lived life to the fullest,” a close friend said, acknowledging that the star suffered from demons.
“Yes, he did struggle with addiction issues, but everyone thought that he had it licked. He seemed to be at a good place in his life. It is just so tragic and there are no words.” We pay for juicy info! Do you have a story for RadarOnline.com? Email us at email@example.com, or call us at 800-344-9598 any time, day or night.
