Kurt Cobain would’ve been 51 years old today. The troubled singer committed suicide on April 5, 1994 at the age of 27 after a long battle with substance abuse and depression. Click through RadarOnline.com’s gallery to go inside his final moments.
Cobain checked out of rehab for his substance abuse issues days before he pulled the trigger. In one of the photos, he could be seen wearing a bracelet from the treatment center.
In another photo, a box of shotgun shells could be seen. Cobain shot himself with a 20-gauge shotgun.
A cigar box displays syringes and other drug paraphernalia.
Also near Cobain at the time of his death was a lighter, hat, wallet, sunglasses and other personal items.

A suicide note left by Cobain at the death scene was also found.
Seattle Detectives blocked off the crime scene because of how gruesome and graphic it was.
Cobain’s wife at the time of his death, Courtney Love, paid tribute to her husband of two years in an Instagram post. “Happy birthday baby,” she captioned a photo of the couple, “God I miss you.”
The couple share daughter Frances Bean Cobain, who was one at the time of his passing.
