Kate Middleton has been all over the headlines lately—royal baby news and all—and let’s admit it, people are quite obsessed with the Duchess of Cambridge. Besides being a strong leader, an educated woman, and an influential public figure, Middleton radiates confidence, charisma, and poise through her classy attitude and heavenly figure. Middleton may not possess that slightly rebellious attitude (by royal standards) of the newest royal family member Meghan Markle, but Middleton is nevertheless no stranger to dazzling crowds with her revealing outfits (again, by royal standards) and taking fashion risks that often result in nearly naked wardrobe malfunction disasters.

You can praise Kate Middleton for pushing the royal style boundaries all you want, but there were times when the mother-of-three took it too far, both in her pre-royal days and after marrying Prince William in the 2011 Royal Wedding. Much to Queen Elizabeth’s dismay, photographers and paparazzi were nearby to take photos of Middleton suffering wardrobe malfunctions, nip slips, and showing more skin than she intended.

Note: you won’t be seeing the infamous naked photo of Middleton, which was taken by a French paparazzo during the Duchess of Cambridge’s vacation in Provence, France in 2012 (five years later, in 2017, a judge ordered French magazine Closer, which published the scandalous photos of naked Kate Middleton, to pay the royals $118,000 in damages).
