Fernandez, 24, made his last trip out of the baseball park on September 28, 2016 in Miami following the grisly boating accident that killed him and two other men on Sunday.
As Fernandez's hearse arrived at Marlins Park all of his teammates were dressed in white shirts that read "RIP" with an image of him. His teammates kept their hands on the hearse as it left the park.

Thousands of fans surrounded the hearse and changed "Jose, Jose."
"He was so young that you're supposed to help teach him, but he's the one who taught us," Marlins team manager Don Mattingly said. "He taught us how to enjoy the game, how to love the game and to have the passion he had. He taught us a lesson of how we're supposed to be."
He left behind his pregnant girlfriend, Maria Arias, who was expecting their first child. He reportedly was upset about an argument they had had before the boating accident.
Fans lined up hours early to drop off flowers and sign the memorial for the All Star player. Fernandez's body left the park for the final time.
