Prison officials immediately realized he was intoxicated— and were furious! "They couldn't believe he made a mockery of the court by immediately breaking the rules," the source explains. Now, he's paying the price. Though Joe was expected to begin his sentence in the general camp, he was moved to maximum security, the insider claims.
According to the source, Joe stopped at Starbucks in the moments before his imprisonment not for the typical caffeine buzz. "His handlers desperately tried to sober him up," the source says. But unfortunately for Joe, the coffee couldn't cover up his drunken state.
Now, prison insiders reveal that the court is trying to deport the Bravo star back to his native Italy, perhaps even before he completes his full sentence: "They will not show him any leniency. He doesn't have a second chance." In response to RadarOnline.com's story, Joe's attorney, Miles Feinstein, said, "If it’s true, it shocks me. If it's caused a maximum security designation, then it's going to be quite different for him than being in a lower tiered level of the federal prison system." The Federal Bureau of Prisons' Public Information Officer responded that details relating to an inmate's "health status or living quarters" cannot be disclosed.
