Sick 'Charade!' Jim Carrey Lied About Paying For Dead Girlfriend's Funeral, Lawsuit Claims

Jim Carrey lied about paying for girlfriend Cathriona White's funeral, the wrongful death lawsuit filed against him alleges.

She had committed suicide on September 24, 2015, and in a bombshell new lawsuit, her estranged husband Mark Burton blames Carrey for giving her the drugs that killed her.

Worse, Burton claims in the lawsuit, Carrey tried to use her death as a publicity stunt.

Calling Carrey's actions in the wake of White's suicide a "charade," the lawsuit claims the actor publicly offered "to pay the funeral expenses associated with White's funeral in Ireland."

"Indeed, Carrey and his handlers made considerable efforts to publicize his supposed generosity as it related to the death of White. They did so … in an effort to paint Carrey as a 'grieving good guy,' as opposed to the individual who had illegally obtained and provided the drugs that killed White," the lawsuit states.

"In reality, however, Carrey never paid a dime of funeral expenses," the lawsuit alleges.

"Instead, Carrey reneged on his promise after learning that White had left a minimal amount of money to her family," the lawsuit claims.

It would be easy for me to get in a back room with this man's lawyer and make this go away, but there are some moments in life when you have to stand up and defend your honor against the evil in this world. I will not tolerate this heartless attempt to exploit me or the woman I loved. Cat's troubles were born long before I met her and sadly her tragic end was beyond anyone's control.
