According to a Jackson family insider, "The surgery was a complete success! It turned out it was not as bad as everyone initially thought, and doctors were able to remove the entire tumor."
"Wissam has been incredible to Janet," the source said. "He really is an angel in her life. When she met him she was not in a great place and he has helped her in every facet of her life tremendously."
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Jackson was forced to postpone her tour dates for "Unbreakable," which was originally scheduled to start on Jan. 9. She insisted at the time, "The rumors are untrue. I do not have cancer I'm recovering."
But the insider told RadarOnline.com, "Janet has talked to her family since she's had the surgery."
"She sounded amazing. She was not only talking, but she actually sounded upbeat and almost like her old self again," added the family friend.
