Ruined by booze and health woes, RadarOnline.com has learned actor Jan-Michael Vincent is now confined to a wheelchair. Click through our gallery to see just how bad it has gotten for the former TV star.
“He can barely hold a pen to sign his name,” one disappointed fan at an autograph convention told RadarOnline.com. “His voice is totally shot, too, and he’s gone blind in one eye!”
Vincent, 72, trashed his career with a series of drunken assaults and DUI arrests that turned the star of big-screen hits like The Mechanic and Hooper into a Hollywood outcast.
In a bombshell exclusive, RadarOnline.com reported Vincent’s troubled career had come to a brutal end after an amputation crisis in 2012!
After moving to Mississippi while fighting tax troubles, Vincent told RadarOnline.com he lost most of his right leg due to complications from peripheral artery disease.
“An infection in my leg got steadily worse,” he said, adding he’d “blocked out” the operation.
“I know I was on life support and a ventilator. When I finally woke up, my leg was gone.”
The actor was barely able to sign photos in April at the Chiller Theatre convention in New Jersey.
The right leg of his slacks was left unrolled in an attempt to hide his missing limb, and event organizers complained that he was a drunk mess.
“We…were ready with the wheelchair,” claimed the insider. “But we’ve never had a celebrity struggle like this!”
