The Le Chambard Hotel In France has now become infamous for all the wrong reasons – following the suicide of celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain. Bourdain, 61, died at the scenic Le Chambard Hotel in beautiful Kayserberg, France.
The chef was filming an episode for his CNN show Parts Unknown just before he took his own life.
Popular Bourdain hanged himself inside one of the hotel’s rooms that cost between $260 and $425 a night.
Tragically his close friend, Éric Ripert, owner of New York's renowned restaurant Le Bernardin, found him dead inside his room.

Christian De Rocquigny du Fayel, a prosecutor in the town of Colmar, confirmed Bourdain's death and said local law enforcement is investigating.
“At this stage nothing suggests the involvement of a third party,” the French prosecutor said. He revealed that a doctor at the scene had confirmed Bourdain’s death by hanging. Paramedics made efforts to revive him before he was pronounced dead inside the hotel.
