In the book, Madison says that she was "hurt and confused" by Wilkinson's cold shoulder.

And after the show ended, Madison claimed Wilkson sent her a nasty text saying, "WHO ARE YOU???? I DON'T EVEN KNOW YOU! WE WERE NEVER FRIENDS. IT WAS ALL JUST WORK."

"I remember Kendra sending that text to Holly," the source said. "We had an appearance at Wet Republic in Vegas. Kevin Burns, who was the producer for 'Holly's World' and Kendra's show, wanted Holly to make an appearance at Wet Republic. Kendra flipped out."

Holly told "Kendra that she was fake and they were friends at the mansion," the friend said.

Kendra texted Holly back because she was told to reach out "to Holly and mend fences for the appearance, but Kendra wanted no part of it," said the source.

Despite Wilkinson's claim, she actually used to be good friends with Madison while filming The Girls Next Door, according to the insider: "They were very close."

But when Wilkinson met Baskett, she changed her mind. "Kendra completely changed," the friend said. "It wasn't just the end of the show. She was sneaking out with Hank. Hank had a large part of that."

"He wanted no ties to anyone from her Playboy lifestyle even though that's how Kendra and Hank got together," the friend claimed.

And according to the insider, Wilkinson has always been attracted to powerful men.

"A lot of it has to do with the fact that Kendra lacked a father figure," the friend claimed. "She just sought father figures in the relationships that she was in."

When Baskett asked her to leave her Playboy life behind, "She did what he asked," the source said. "There was a huge change from the Kendra we all knew at Playboy."

The source explained, "Playboy gave Kendra her independence."

"Kendra kind of ran Hank for a time, but once they got engaged, it all changed," the source said. "The day he proposed in Seattle was the day we lost the Kendra we knew."

"Kendra's relationship with Patti and Colin was never the same," either, the source said. "The relationships with her friends and family were never the same. She basically takes a very tight circle ..."

"It's a very small group," the source continued.

Wilkson's view on friendship then changed too, according to the insider. "You don't tell Kendra anything negative or she's doing something wrong," the source claimed. "You either agree with Kendra or you are cut out of the circle."

"This would never have been the Kendra we knew before Hank," the source said. "This is the way she does things now and it's very unfortunate."

"If you talk down on her or say anything other than what she wants to hear, she will rip you now," the source said. "She will make you feel about 2 inches tall. That is her defense mechanism."

When it came to Madison, Wilkinson just started ignoring her. "There was a lot leading up to it Kendra and Holly's falling out," the source said. "Holly would reach out and it would go unanswered."

Now, the source claimed, "Kendra doesn't have friends around her that aren't on her payroll."

And Wilkinson doesn't seem to care. "Kendra has changed so much that it doesn't faze her," the source said.

"The show is going to end," the source continued. "At the end of the day, the fans are going to get tired of it; no one is going to care… It's going to be about family. She's burned so many bridges she would be fortunate if they would even allow her back in her circle."

"All she will have is family," the source insisted.

The former friend urged her to make amends. "She's young enough now that she could fix her mistakes and still have a good life with her mom and brother," the source said.

But it doesn't sound optimistic that a change will occur. "She is going to find herself alone," the source insisted.
