Following the film, Depp left his longtime partner, Vanessa Paradis, with whom he has two children. Meanwhile, Heard was currently dating photographer Tasya van Ree.

The pair dated secretly for four months before debuting their love on the international press tour for The Lone Ranger in July 2013, where they were accompanied by Depp's children, Lily-Rose, 16, and Jack, 14.

They were engaged by January 2014 and tied the knot one year later in February at both Depp's West Hollywood home and later at a beach ceremony in the Bahamas.

In 2014, Depp discussed having children with Heard. "As far as having more kids, it's easy for me — and Amber should have the opportunity to have kids if she wants. Let's face it, practicing for it is fun and it's all wonderful."

But it seems Heard had cold feet about the whole thing. In the July 2015 issue of Elle magazine, she confessed: "The thing that really scares me about marriage is the potential of losing my freedom. I never want for my life to lose the ability to transverse the world, with freedom and ease. The freedom and ease I have worked so hard to acquire for myself."

As RadarOnline.com reported, Heard, 30, filed for divorce in Los Angeles on Monday, just over 15 months after tying the knot with Depp, 52.

She cites "irreconcilable differences," and asks the court to have Depp pay her spousal support. She also wants to be let off the hook for paying him any kind of support. She also wants her ex to pay her attorneys fees! As for splitting up their property, the documents state that "assets and debts are unknown at this time," but will be settled at a later date.
