Manning, 29, visited an optometrist in the Big Apple on June 1, 2017. She was released from prison on May 17 after seven years spent behind bars for her Wikileaks crimes.
She was wearing a gray sweatshirt, brown pants and a brown shirt with heavy eye makeup. While imprisoned she was ordered to follow male grooming standards, but her attorney said, upon her release, that she planned to grow her hair out.
Manning, previously known as Bradley, was arrested in 2010 and sentenced to 35 years in prison for charges of espionage and theft of military records that she handed over to WikiLeakes. The leaked documents included a video of an airstrike in Baghdad in 2007, where two Reuters photographers were killed.
