As Kendra Wilkinson’s feud with her mom Patti erupts again, RadarOnline.com takes a look at other celebrities who have been estranged from their parents. The list is a long one!
Angelina Jolie and her dad Jon Voight have had one of the most famous feuds in Hollywood. Even though their decade-long estrangement supposedly ended in 2011, Voight says he only learned of his daughter’s double-mastectomy last year like the rest of us – by reading it online. And he wasn't invited to her wedding to Brad Pitt either!
When it comes to being in the middle of family feuds Brad Pitt got some practice with his first wife, Jennifer Aniston, who didn’t even invite her mom Nancy Dow to their wedding. The “Friends” star reportedly made up with her mother back in 2011 after Dow suffered a stroke.
michael lohan and lindsay lohan
Lindsay Lohan has a love/hate relationship with her dad, Michael, which has been raging for years and this year was captured on her OWN self-titled reality TV series. Back in 2009 she tweeted: “My father is a lunatic and doesn’t even deserve such a title…”
ariel winter
For nearly two years Ariel Winter has been living under the guardianship of her sister, Shanelle Gray, after falling out with their mother, Chrisoula Workman. Their drama was revealed in court papers in October 2012, when the “Modern Family” star alleged her mother subjected her to “ongoing physical…and emotional abuse.”
LEIGHTON MEESTER
Leighton Meester’s feud with mom Constance has gotten very messy over the years. In 2011 the Gossip Girl’s mother claimed her daughter had promised to give her $10,000 a month for the rest of her life. But in June 2012 a Los Angeles Superior Court Judge slapped down that claim and ruled in Leighton’s favor.
“No one likes to be thought of as the Wicked Witch.” That’s what Candy Spelling said in June 2014 interview with Oprah about her “infamous feud” with her daughter, Tori. Although they are on better terms, Tori fell out with her family when she hooked up with her current husband, Dean McDermott, in May 2006.
adele
In 2013 Mark Evans told the “Daily Mail” about the singer Adele: “I’m not interested in her celebrity status or her money, I just want my daughter back, and I want to be a proper granddad to the little one.” The pop star allegedly stopped speaking to her dad after he opened up about their rocky relationship in a 2011 interview.
eminem
In an interview with MLive.com this summer Debbie Mathers had a message for her famous son, Eminem: “Life is short. Come here, Mama wants a hug.” Mathers fell out with the rapper in 2001 when she sued him for defamation for his negative portrayal of her in songs like “My Name Is” and “My Mom.”
drew barrymore
Speaking about her relationship with her mother Jaid, Drew Barrymore told Marie Claire this year: “We can’t really be in each other’s lives at this point.” The actress has frequently spoken about her fractured relationship with her mom, from whom she became emancipated when she was just 15. “My relationship with my mom is complicated,” she told the magazine.
It seems that every time Charlie Sheen goes through a rocky patch he and his father Martin butt heads. Most recently, in 2011, the “Anger Management” star told his dad to “shut it” after the elder actor compared his son’s addiction fight to cancer. Charlie told RadarOnline.com at the time: “OK, Pop walk through a cancer ward right now and find any of those mother**kers who look like me.”
“I had to cut off all connection. It was hurting me too much.” That’s what Demi Lovato told the New York Daily News in 2009 about her dad, Patrick, who had battled substance abuse for many years. This summer the singer told Good Morning America she hadn’t spoken to her father in the two years before he died of cancer in 2013.

Years before it was alleged that Demi Moore’s three daughters distanced themselves from her, the actress was estranged from her own mother Virginia Guyne. The two resolved their issues before Guyne died from a brain tumor at the age of 55 in 1998. Moore once said caring for her mom towards the end of her life was a “tremendous, tremendous gift.”
kate hudson
Kate Hudson calls her mom’s partner Kurt Russell “Dad,” and that’s partly because she is estranged from her biological father Bill Hudson. Kate once told Vanity Fair that Bill – Goldie Hawn’s ex-husband – “doesn’t know me from a hole in the wall.”
Tatum and Ryan O’Neal
Before Angie Jolie and Jon Voight, Tatum and Ryan O’Neal were probably the most well known father and daughter at loggerheads in Hollywood. The duo attempted to heal their on-off relationship while filming a 2011 reality TV series for OWN. But in 2012 Tatum told Good Morning America that they were estranged again, saying: “I’ve just kind of had enough.”
Macaulay Culkin
Macaulay Culkin is another former child star who has turned his back on his father. The “Home Alone” actor apparently became estranged from his dad, Kit, when they fought over his multimillion-dollar fortune.
meg ryan
Susan Jordan once said of her famous daughter Meg Ryan: “The image Meg has of the innocent, dizzy girl-next-door could not be further from the truth. In real life, she’s a cold-hearted, cruel manipulator.” Hmm, no love lost between those two then.
courtney love
Her mother wrote a memoir about their relationship that her agent called a work of “vicious fiction,” and her own father thinks she may have been responsible for her husband, Kurt Cobain’s death. Is it any surprise that Courtney Love is estranged from her dad, Hank Harrison, and her mom, Linda Carroll?
kelly rowland
In 2013 Christopher Lovett made a desperate plea – via Star magazine – to reconnect with his daughter Kelly Rowland whom he hasn’t seen since he split with her mom when the 33-year-old was seven. Back in 2011 Rowland said she was interested in reconnecting with her father but doesn’t want to “hurry” herself.
Marvin Gaye
Marvin Gaye’s feud with his father Marvin Gay Sr. resulted in the Motown singer’s untimely death at the age of 44. The reverend fatally shot the “Sexual Healing” star in their Los Angeles home in April 1984.
Kobe Bryant’s fractured relationship with his parents Pamela and Joe came to a head in 2013 when he sued them for trying to sell more than 70 items of his memorabilia without his consent. They finally settled their legal dispute with the Bryants issuing a written apology to their son saying they were sorry for any “misunderstanding and unintended pain” they may have caused.
