Caitlyn admitted her flaws as a parent in the interview, saying, "I have made a lot of mistakes raising the four Jenner kids," referring to her older children. "I had times not only dealing with my own issues but exes ... there was a lot of turmoil in my life ... and I wasn't as close to my kids as I should have been."

Her son Brandon saw Caitlyn for the first time after the surgery, and "she pulled up her top to reveal her new breasts," much to his shock. "Whoa, I'm still your son," he gently reminded her.
There was a major "disagreement over the upcoming E! docu-series," Graydon Carter's magazine reported. "The children believe that with the right producers the show could be wonderful on multiple levels," but there was "concern that the show would devolve into maximum mayhem and minimum social awareness."
Caitlyn admitted that perhaps the older children made the right choice by not participating in her new show. "I think it's better for the show right now. It keeps me on point and doesn't distract with all the family issues."
Caitlyn revealed why she has come forward in such a public fashion. "I'm not doing it for money. I'm doing it to help my soul and help other people. If I can make a dollar, I am certainly not stupid." Still, she said, "You don't go out and change your gender for a television show."

Her mother Esther Jenner told the magazine she had doubts about Caitlyn's true intention. "I woke up one night and all I was thinking about is … ‘Is this all about making money?' And that was bothering me ... I don't know if it was both she and Kris or mainly Kris, it seemed like their lifestyle was about money."

Kris said she didn't explain her gender dysphoria until they divorced, adding, "It was the most passive-aggressive thing I think I've ever experienced."
