Jennifer Aniston (who was married to Brad Pitt from 2000-2005) was also an A-list actress who had plenty of on screen make out scenes of her own. A co-star could never break up Brad and Jen! Pitt and Aniston were the talk of the town...no, the world! In 2004, after four years of marriage, things looked good for these love birds. Aniston did an interview where she talked about how it was time to have kids. But a few months later, she and Pitt split.

She had been married to Billy Bob Thornton from 2000-2003 (after a marriage to Jonny Lee Miller from 1996-1999).

It must be challenging to be married to an A-list actor. Of course, the make out sessions and intimate scenes are just part of the job, right? That's what Pitt told Aniston, who he was still married to when he worked with Angelina Jolie on the film Mr. and Mrs. Smith in May of 2004.

Angelina Jolie was fully aware of Pitt's marriage. She said she didn't chase him because he was already with his best friend. Jolie was a single mom, content to figure out life on her own.

There was speculation that Pitt and Jolie's relationship began on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, but Jolie spoke out about how she would never cheat. Though an attraction began on set, Brangelina didn't become an official thing until after Pitt and Aniston's breakup.

Though their six children were reportedly keen on the idea of their parents being married, Pitt made a statement in 2006 that they would get married when "everyone" can get married. A few celebrity couples have done the same, including Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard who waited until marriage was legal for LGBT couples in California.

Three months after Pitt's divorce from Aniston was final, he and Jolie announced their first pregnancy! Shiloh Jolie-Pitt was born in May of 2006. Also in 2006, Pitt adopted Jolie's adopted children, Maddox, and Zahara.

In 2007, they purchased an Island...because, why not?

Also in 2007, Pitt and Jolie finalized their third adoption and took home 3-year-old, Pax. Then in 2008, Jolie revealed a new baby bump—child number five was on the way!

Surprise! Pitt and Jolie thought they were rounding out their family with five children, but Jolie was having twins! Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon were born in July of 2008.

Though they were chided by some by not standing by their commitment to wait until all could marry, Pitt and Jolie were finally engaged in 2012.

In 2013, Jolie found out that she had the BRCA1 gene which put her at major risk for cancer. She decided to have a preventative double mastectomy. Fiance Pitt stood by her side and supported her along with their children.

Pitt and Jolie were married at their estate, Chateau Miraval in France on August 23, 2014 in front of 22 family members and friends. Each of their six children had a special part to play in the wedding/ceremony festivities. The kids also picked out three different cakes for the occasion!

Newlyweds Pitt and Jolie paired up to work as co-stars for the first time since the film that brought them together in 2004. Jolie wrote and directed By The Sea, and costarred in it with Pitt. Jolie thought doing the project together would essentially save their marriage and help them communicate.

Unfortunately, By The Sea did not save the marriage, but Jolie and Pitt now have mansions just blocks from one another.

It's a sad break-up story, but don't worry superfans, Pitt and Jolie were immortalized in wax years ago! Ok fine, this isn't the photo of them as Wax Sculptures, but with their perfect complexions and sharp features, it's easy to convince yourself that you're looking at a work of art when you see them.

While Pitt and Jolie had a say in when they were getting space from each other, their Wax Figures at Madame Tussaud's in London were separated immediately, following the news of their break up.

Jolie filed for divorce in September, 2016, just two years into her marriage to Pitt. She also decided to fight for physical custody of their six children. As of 2018, the custody battle is still underway, but seems to be coming to an end.

Jolie took a year off work to be with her kids though the transition of her divorce. She has definitely kept her family close and they spend a lot of time together at their estate. Each kid also gets to have individual mommy time.

Jolie has been quoted, praising her children for being such a tight unit with her. She claims they are her best friends. She is reportedly very lenient with them and has raised them without rules.

And when mom can't hang out? They have a staff of nannies and bodyguards who are there to help out. The family has allegedly gone through several nannies who report back that the kids rule the household, making it a challenging environment to work in.

Jolie was spotted with a few of the kids on Mother's Day, 2018.

Pitt saw his kids in London on Father's Day and has continued to fight to get equal time with them. He is also rumored to be in a new relationship with Neri Oxman, an MIT Professor.

While Jolie was filming Maleficent 2 in London, all six Jolie-Pitt kids were with her and going to school on set. Pitt was devastated about being away from his kids for so long, but on the bright side, Jolie was recently given a court ordered ultimatum about making the kids more accessible for their dad.

In addition to being busy filming multiple projects and continuing her career as an activist, Jolie is dating a British Mystery Man. Unlike all of her past husbands, he is not an actor.

The Jolie-Pitt divorce proceedings have been unpleasant to say the least. The family has tried counseling, but Jolie and Pitt aren't even in a place to be in the same room, so only time will tell how they are able to patch things up.

Unlike many Hollywood breakups, this one is much more complicated because of the couple's six children. But that will likely incentive the ex-couple to eventually make some sort of peace!
