Betty White is battling a crippling illness and was forced to make a desperate dash to her doctor's office after collapsing at home, RadarOnline.com has learned! Click through the gallery to find out more about what's happening with the beloved sitcom icon behind the scenes.
Friends and medical experts fear the once-feisty Golden Girl, 95, has just three months to live! As this world exclusive images obtained by RadarOnline.com reveal, Betty appeared frail, pasty-faced and shaky as she clung tightly to an assistant’s arm while on a hush-hush medical visit, sources said.
The visit came after White collapsed from a dizzy spell. "This is likely the result of arteriosclerosis," said New York internist Dr. Stuart Fischer, who has not treated Betty. "People of advanced age, like Betty, are forced to endure inflammatory chemicals that overwhelm the body, causing rapidly narrowing arteries that force a rapid blood pressure drop and explain the collapse."
"She's driving herself too hard and needs a round-the-clock nurse to monitor her condition, or it will likely lead to an imminent and potentially fatal heart attack or stroke," said Fischer.
For years, friends and loved ones have worried White's nonstop schedule will destroy her already fragile health and drive her into the grave. This year she appeared in both the FOX series Bones and the cable sitcom Young & Hungry. "Betty's working a timetable that someone 20 or 30 years her junior could barely cope with," said a friend. "We're terrified she's killing herself!"
Though a rep for the star denied any emergency or that White is overworked, a source told RadarOnline.com the Emmy winner is also secretly battling early signs of dementia. "But she's refusing to get tested for Alzheimer's!" the source said. "She says that at her age she doesn't want to know."
