The Batman star and pretty blonde “met some time ago when Ben was hosting SNL, and there was an immediate spark,” an insider told Radar. “Ben and Lindsay flirted and stayed in touch through Ben’s appearances on SNL.”
After Affleck, 44 and Alias star Jennifer Garner separated, the actor reached out to Shookus, 37, and passion flared, the insider claimed.
“They had secret meetings at hotels in New York and Canada, but never went out for fear of being photographed together,” spilled the source. “Whenever they met, Lindsay always went in one way and Ben went in another.”

Although Affleck’s reps denied the hookups, the source said that the clandestine couple even communicated through a secret email account!
