Twitter feuds can be amusing when they are between total strangers with only a few hundred followers. But when celebrities attack — with their millions of followers — it can be wickedly entertaining for the rest of us.

From Kanye West and Rihanna to Donald Trump, Twitter has seen its share of arguments spill over from the real world into the virtual one. Here are 22 of the most vicious celebrity Twitter feuds of all time.
1.Nicki Minaj Attacks Farrah Abraham.
The rapper took on the reality show star of “Teen Mom OG” in 2016 for what Minaj saw as bad parenting. Seemingly out of nowhere, the “Feeling Myself” singer launched a full-blown Twitter attack against Abraham for the way she treated her own mother in helping raise her daughter. She said, “Farrah is a c*** to her mother.” Later she posted, “Your mother didn’t open her legs and have that child. Be happy she’s helping! Stop talking to her like that on tv u lil c--t.”
2. The Teen Mom Fires Back At The Hip Hop Star.
Minaj might have thought she had the upper hand after calling out Abraham’s parenting skills and treatment of her own mother, but the former Teen Mom wasn’t going to take these insults lying down. She responded with a stealth Tweet saying, “Cause you’re a parent right? Your videos look like porn. Horrible good luck being negative #Godbless busy making TV.” Farrah would end the Twitter battle with an image that read, “Wake. Pray. Slay” with the caption, “I slay I have no time for rerun watching ignorant minions like @NICKIMINAJ worry about your family #Watchandlearn.”
3. Amanda Bynes and Rihanna.
When most people Tweet something horrible about a celebrity, they don’t get a response ... especially if that celebrity is an A-lister like Rihanna. However, actress Amanda Bynes thought it would be a good idea to launch insults at the pop star on Twitter in May 2013. The former Nickelodeon star went full throttle even referencing domestic abuse by saying, “@rihanna Chris Brown beat you because you’re not pretty enough.”
4. Rihanna Responds To Sick Insults.
Rihanna responded to the weird Twitter tirade by saying, “Ya see what happens when they cancel Intervention?’ Bynes continued her attacks on Rihanna — even calling the pop diva ugly, saying, “unlike ur fugly faced self I don’t do drugs! U need the intervention dog! I met ur ugly face in person! U aren’t pretty u know it!”
5. Perez Hilton Vs Will.i.am.
Way back in 2009, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton allegedly got into a physical altercation with Black Eyed Peas singer will.iam and his manager, Polo Molino, leaving Hilton with an actual black eye. The feud later spilled onto social media. According to MTV, after attending the MuchMusic Awards in Toronto, Canada, Hilton Tweeted that he was assaulted, saying, “I'm in shock. I need the police ASAP. Please come to the SoHo Metropolitan Hotel now. Please ... I was assaulted by Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke."
6. Will.i.am Creates His Twitter Account To Respond.
Back in June 2009 will.i.am did not yet have a Twitter account but created one just so he could respond to Hilton’s allegations. In one of his first Tweets ever, according to MTV, the pop star said, "It isn't cool for someone to blame you and blast you with lies. Perez Hilton is a liar." Hilton responded with a long video post saying that in fact will.i.am was the one lying. Police charges against the Black Eyed Peas manager for allegedly assaulting Hilton during this incident were dropped later that year.
7. John Mayer Vs Perez Hilton.
After the Twitter battle between Hilton and Will.i.am was over, singer John Mayer took his turn at the blogger. In late June of 2009, Mayer threw insults at Hilton for the way that he handled the fight with will.i.am. Instead of calling the police to report a physical assault, Hilton Tweeted to his fans to help him get in touch with the police. Mayer pointed out this silly choice by Tweeting, “I love that @perezhilton uses his cellphone to log on to twitter to post a tweet to ask his followers to call the police for him.”
8. Hilton Escalates Twitter Attacks on Mayer.
In response to Mayer’s comments that Twitter was not the best place to file a police report, Hilton Tweeted, “That’s real funny! Ha ha! And I’m sure you also think I “deserved” to get hit!” According to Rolling Stone, the pair went back and forth trading jabs and Hilton even alleged that the Black Eyed Peas had a “history of violence.”
9. Chelsea Handler Roasts Nick Cannon.
Comedian Chelsea Handler is not one to hold back her opinions. So when the Chelsea Lately star found out that Wild ‘N Out television show host Nick Cannon was going on a comedy tour, she Tweeted her displeasure. She Tweeted to her followers asking, “I just heard Nick Cannon is starting a comedy tour. Who’s going to do the comedy?”
10. Cannon Unleashes on Handler.
The TV host launched his own set of Twitter attacks. In one Tweet, Cannon responds to Handler with, “@Chelseahandler Looks like she got hit in the face with a hot bag of nickels!” In another, he questions how she actually got her own TV show saying, “Everyone knows @Chelseahandler had sex with the head of E! for her show. So When it’s canceled does he get residual p**** for the reruns?”
11. Adam Levine Sub-Tweets Lady Gaga.
In September 2013, fans thought that Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine was “sub-tweeting” pop superstar Lady Gaga. A sub-tweet is talking about someone without mentioning them by name. This happened when Levine Tweeted, “Ugh… recycling old art for a younger generation doesn’t make you an artist. It makes you an art teacher.”
12. Gaga Responds.
The “Telephone” singer responded to the criticism with a sharp tweet of her own directed at Levine. “uh oh guys the art police is here.” According to the Daily Mail, Levine next Tweeted, “I unabashedly love writing and performing pop music for both myself AND everyone around me. That’s it. It doesn’t need any extra sauce.”
13. Kanye West Vs Drake.
Kanye West loves a good Twitter feud and one of the best examples of this is his online beef with fellow musician Drake. In December 2018, West sent out over 100 Tweets aimed at the “God’s Plan” rapper for a variety of reasons. These perceived slights seemed to have stemmed from a line in a Drake song that seems to tell people not to buy West’s line of “350” sneakers. The former friends — who even collaborated on music together — went down the Twitter road with West Tweeting, “Still need that apology for mentioning the 350s and trying to take food out your idols kids mouths.”
14. Drake Responds With Emojis.
In response to the verbal Twitter attacks from Kanye West, Drake chose to respond on Instagram with several emojis that are laughing so hard that they are crying. Despite this, West later Tweeted that Drake had called him and it seems that the pair made up as a follow-up Tweet that simply said, “mission accomplished.”
15. Tyrese Gibson Vs Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Nothing can set off a good Twitter feud like some good old fashioned jealously. That might be what happened when “Fast and The Furious” franchise star Tyrese Gibson launched a Twitter feud against his action costar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. According to The Wrap, when the movie studio announced in 2017 that there would be a spinoff film featuring Johnson and Jason Statham, Gibson was not pleased that this would keep the next “Fast and the Furious” movie from being released sooner. He Tweeted, “Congratulations to @TheRock and your brother in law aka 7 bucks producing partner @hhgarcia41 for making the fast and the furious franchise about YOU - And like you, DJ even if they call I will not be deleting this post.”
16. The Rock Moves On.
Tyrese Gibson continued his Twitter attacks on “The Rock” saying, “Gn folks see you in 2020 April #FastFamily right? Nah..... it's about #TeamDewayne #3yrs will it be worth the wait? #NoShaw just Hobbs will this be another #BayWatch? Guys guys just relax I'm just a passionate film critic." According to The Wrap, Johnson turned the other cheek saying in an interview with Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live” that it was all a one-sided beef. He said, “That whole thing with Tyrese, it was pretty disappointing because I had been friends with Tyrese for a very long time. I always feel like a beef requires two people to actually jump in it, and it was pretty one-sided, and he had voiced his opinion a lot on social media.”
17. B.o.B VS Neil deGrasse Tyson.
It is strange times we live in when a rapper is taking on a famed astrophysicist to try and prove that the world is flat, but here we are. Back in January of 2016, “Flat Earth” conspiracies were just starting to hit the mainstream when the “Airplanes” rapper Tweeted a picture of himself in front of a sunset with buildings in the distance. The caption read, “The cities in the background are approx. 16miles apart... where is the curve? please explain this.” In a series of Tweets, he dropped some nuggets of wisdom including, “A lot of people are turned off by the phrase "flat earth" ... but there's no way u can see all the evidence and not know... grow up.”
18. Neil deGrasse Tyson Stands Up For Science.
Host of “Cosmos” and noted scientist, Neil deGrasse Tyson, might not think that Pluto is a planet, but he knows that the Earth is round. In his own series of tweets, Tyson responded to the musician’s claims explaining why Manhattan doesn’t appear “curved” from a distance Tweeting, “@bobatl Earth's curve indeed blocks 150 (not 170) ft of Manhattan. But most buildings in midtown are waaay taller than that.”
19. Amber Rose Vs The Kardashians.
Back in 2015, Amber Rose launched a Twitter feud against the Kardashians after she shared her thoughts about the alleged relationship between rapper Tyga and Kylie Jenner, who was then 17 years old, according to People magazine. Rose said, “She needs to go to bed at 7 o’clock and relax. It’s ridiculous. Tyga should be ashamed of himself. That’s how I feel, for sure. He has a beautiful woman and a baby that he left for a 16-year-old who just turned 17.”
20. Khloe Kardashian Defends Her Sister.
Khloe Kardashian stepped in to defend her sister by re-Tweeting an old quote from Rose, “‘I was a stripper since I was 15 years old.” And adding, “Please don’t worry about my sister who has a career and her s— together at ONLY 17. People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.”
21. Kanye West Vs Jimmy Kimmel Feud Over Comedy Sketch.
In 2013, late night host Jimmy Kimmel did a parody of Kanye West that poked fun at a strange interview West had done on BBC television in which he claimed he was the biggest rock star in the world. The sketch featured two children acting out the interview. While most celebrities of West’s stature would expect or even be honored to be mocked on a comedy show, it seems the "Gold Digger" singer did not see the joke. He Tweeted, “Jimmy Kimmel is out of line to try and spoof in any way the first piece of honest media in years.” West also Tweeted that Kimmel was “a manipulative media mother*****r.” Kimmel seemed unfazed by the taunts egging West on and Tweeting, “Apparently @KanyeWest is VERY VERY ANGRY with me…”
22. Kimmel and Kanye Make Up.
Eventually West cooled down and stopped ranting at Kimmel. To prove that the Twitter beef was indeed over, West appeared in a segment of Kimmel’s “Celebrity Mean Tweets” — alongside wife Kim Kardashian — as part of the TV host’s 50th birthday celebration. According to Rolling Stone, the comedian later looked back at the Twitter feud fondly saying, “I live for moments like that. When I got in a Twitter battle with Kanye, I was so happy. My wife makes fun of me. She’s like, ‘You are so happy right now.’ I’m absolutely beaming. I feel very confident in a situation like that.”
