They had a very bitter split, but it looks like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are going to be civil for the sake of their kids! RadarOnline.com has all the details.
The Maleficent star recently splashed out $25 million on the historic Cecil B. DeMille Estate as she plans her new solo life.
One of the reasons that she bought the stunning property in Los Feliz is that it is only a short drive away from Pitt’s compound where the couple used to live together with their family.
"This was important to Angelina. Despite the stories around their split, she knows in the long run it is important that the couple are close to one another for the sake of their kids," a source revealed. "She also loved the fact that she was buying such a famous historic Hollywood property, and the privacy and security this offers.”
Built in 1913, the Beaux Arts style mansion has plenty of room for her kids – the 11,000-square-foot home has six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, and sits on two acres of stunning gardens.
The 41-year-old actress bought the property eight months after splitting from Pitt, 53, in a divorce that sent shockwaves throughout the world.
RadarOnline.com revealed recently that Pitt had been “doing up” his own lavish compound as he prepares for more visits with his children over the summer.
The former couple seems to be getting along better as they try to hash out their divorce in private through retired private Judge John W. Ouderkirk, who actually married the couple in 2014.
The couple have six children together Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara. 11. Shiloh, 10, plus 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
Jolie has already started to move into her new mansion as she gets ready to embark on a new chapter in her life.
