Madonna, 60, paid tribute to the late Aretha Franklin, 76, and it was wild. Wearing a full Moroccan headpiece, the singer told a story about how the Queen of Soul inspired her and made her the icon she is today. Even though she was standing in front of a huge screen with Franklin’s image, Madonna somehow avoided talking about the singer, and instead continued to praise her own successful career! Not surprisingly, Twitter was enraged.
Tiffany Haddish, 38, and Kevin Hart, 39, roasted everyone, from Donald Trump to the Jersey Shore cast to Fifth Harmony to every engaged celebrity ever.
As Nicki Minaj, 35, accepted her award for best hip hop song, Kylie Jenner, 21, and Travis Scott, 27, were entirely unamused. After all, she did shade the famous pair—and their daughter—for bumping the rapper’s album, Astroworld, to the top of the charts.
Jennifer Lopez, 49, won the 2018 VMAs with her energetic song-mash up and jaw-dropping performance. As she accepted the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award for lifetime achievement, the stunner thanked her two children, Max, 10, and Emme, 10, as well as her “twin soul,” Alex Rodriguez, 43.
