Zooey Deschanel Spotted With Both Her Boyfriend Jonathon Scott & Her Ex-Husband As She Drops Off Her Kids
Zooey Deschanel was spotted with both her boyfriend Jonathon Scott and her ex-husband Jacob Pechenik as she dropped off her two children before spending the day alone with her new beau.
According to photos obtained by Daily Mail, the 42-year-old New Girl actress appeared friendly, if not a little awkward, as she and Scott helped Pechenik load their kids – daughter Elsie, 6, and son Charlie, 4 – into his car Monday in Los Angeles.
The Elf and Yes Man actress was seen dressed down and casual for the quick reunion, opting for a colorful bright pink jumpsuit underneath a purple cardigan. As for footwear, she went for a comfy and fuzzy pair of gray Ugg boots.
Monday’s outing comes only a little more than two years since Deschanel and Pechenik filed for divorce after nearly four years together. The former couple first met in 2015 and married the same year, before ultimately separating in 2019 which is when the actress started up with Scott.
“After much discussion and a long period of contemplation we have decided we are better off as friends, business partners and co-parents rather than life partners,” the pair announced in a joint statement at the time. “We remain committed to our business, our values and most of all our children. Thank you for respecting our privacy at this time.”

Deschanel started dating the Property Brothers star following an episode of Carpool Karaoke featuring the actress, her sister Emily, Jonathon, and his brother Drew. The new couple celebrated their two-year anniversary in August 2021.
“We found our forever home and we are embarking on this renovation,” Scott revealed on Friday, January 14, in an interview. “Our hope is that when it's done, it stays in the family forever and ever.”
Deschanel also recently posted pictures of her and Scott celebrating her 42nd birthday last Monday.
“The best (birthday) dinner date,” she captioned the two Instagram pictures – one showing them eating dinner and taking selfies and another standing up and embracing – along with an emoji and floating hearts.
“Oh what a night,” Scott commented back, along with an emoji of a big red heart and a note of music.
