Conservative gasbag Tucker Carlson claims the CIA spied on him and now wants to slap him with criminal charges for illegally lobbying on behalf of Iran, RadarOnline.com can reveal.

In a shocking March 14 social media post, the Tucker Carlson Show podcast host alleged the CIA read his texts with Persian officials in the run-up to America and Israel's war with the country – and is preparing a criminal referral to the Department of Justice.

Tucker, 56, said CIA spooks are claiming he violated the Foreign Agents Registration Act of 1938, which requires any American who lobbies on behalf of a foreign power to first register with the DOJ.

As the world knows, Tucker was a dogged foe of Donald Trump's plans to attack Iran, voicing his opposition three different times in meetings with the president shortly before the first salvos were launched on Iran on Feb. 28.

Afterward, Carlson branded Operation Epic Fury as "absolutely disgusting and evil" and a "betrayal" of Trump's campaign promises to avoid foreign wars.

Those comments incited the president to effectively boot Tucker from his Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement on March 5, saying: "Tucker has lost his way. I knew that a long time ago."

Despite that, Carlson insisted he's never accepted any money from a foreign power, adding his allegiance is unequivocally to America – although he failed to disclose the contents of his texts.

"I have only one loyalty," he declared, "and that is to the United States."

Tucker also charged elements within the CIA targeted him over his criticism of Israel's war in Gaza, and to justify their unlawful spying on an American citizen.

He also said the agency often uses a criminal referral to make an investigation public and to "humiliate and terrify" its enemies.

A source suggested Trump may have authorized CIA scrutiny of Carlson following his opposition to the Iran conflict.

This isn't the first time Carlson has faced accusations of shilling for America's enemies.

In 2024, he infamously aired a cozy sit-down with Russian strongman Vladimir Putin, allowing Vlad to ramble about his dubious reasons for invading Ukraine – while also praising Russia's subways as "nicer than anything in our country."

A Beltway insider believes Trump – and not rogue CIA spies – was "certainly" behind the order to read Carlson's texts.

"No way the CIA spies on a top MAGA official without the president's say-so," a source said. "Trump probably grew suspicious after Tucker was so vocally opposed to the war and told the CIA to have a look. The question is what those texts really said."
