EXCLUSIVE: More Bad News for Timothy Busfield — How Unearthed Allegations are Adding to Accused Abuser's Woes
Timothy Busfield faces new allegations that add to existing abuse claims and deepen ongoing controversy.

Already facing sexual misconduct charges, West Wing actor Timothy Busfield is facing more allegations from former Babylon 5 star Claudia Christian and casting director Eliza Roberts, RadarOnline.com can reveal.
Busfield, the 68-year-old husband of actress Melissa Gilbert, has pleaded not guilty to four counts of criminal sexual contact with a minor in New Mexico, where 11-year-old twin boys claim he molested them while directing them in the TV series The Cleaning Lady in 2022 and 2024.
Now, two women are charging abuse by the Thirtysomething actor.
Actress Details Alleged Trailer Assault
Claudia Christian claimed Timothy Busfield 'shoved his tongue in my mouth' during a rehearsal for 'Strays.'
Christian, now 60, who starred as Susan Ivanova in the space series Babylon 5, claimed Busfield attacked her while they were rehearsing a scene in his trailer for the 1991 TV movie Strays.
She said Busfield seized her, tossed her against a wall, and began kissing her.
"He had an erection, and he shoved his tongue in my mouth, and I pushed him off, and I ran out of the trailer," she claimed.
The actress said she didn't report it because "they 'might' have spoken to him but I doubt it. I very much doubt they would have started an investigation based on my report. I did tell the people I was working on the film with and they did nothing, which is a reflection of how 'normal' it was for young women to be hurled up against a wall and fondled without warning nor permission."
New Accuser Details Disturbing Encounter
Eliza Roberts, wife of Eric Roberts, said Busfield subjected her to 'very, very graphic sex talk' in a 1980s encounter.
Meanwhile, a recently unearthed police report revealed Eliza, the wife of actor Eric Roberts, claimed after running into Busfield at a library in the 1980s, he accosted her in the parking lot and "he just started the stream of crazy, very, very graphic sex talk. It was very bizarre. It was very disturbing. It was extremely aggressive, and it was totally uninvited."
Eliza, who is Julia Roberts' sister-in-law, says she rolled up her window and drove off to a car wash, where she called her husband from a pay phone.
Eliza, 73, believes Busfield is "obviously ill" and "cannot resist his urges." She says she told several people about the incident at the time and later, but didn't attempt legal action for "the fear of being disbelieved."
Eliza said she's now offering her testimony to prosecutors.

Attorney Larry Stein said Busfield 'will not waste my time' responding to decades-old allegations.
At press time, the actor-director was hit with additional abuse accusations from three other women.
Busfield has vehemently denied all of the allegations leveled against him and his attorney, Larry Stein, said: "I will not waste my time nor the public's commenting on 30-year-old unproven allegations with adult women."
