Sharon Stone's nephew has died just days after the actress revealed he had been hospitalized with "total organ failure."
River, who was also her godson, was only 11 months old.
Sharing the heartbreaking news on her social media, Stone posted several video clips showing the tiny tyke smiling and laughing. She also had Eric Clapton's Tears In Heaven music playing in the background.
"River William Stone. Sept. 8, 2020 - Aug. 30, 2021," she captioned the clip of the blue-eyed boy on Monday.
This explains why the 63-year-old was spotted rushing through JFK airport over the weekend, despite continuing to work in Italy following the hospitalization news.
As RadarOnline.com reported, Stone dropped the devastating news about River on Friday.
Showing him in the hospital and hooked up to several machines, the Basic Instincts star captioned the sad shot by writing, "My nephew and godson River Stone was found in his crib w total organ failure today."
While she asked nearly three million Instagram fans to "please pray for him," Stone revealed, "We need a miracle."
Hours later, she was spotted on the cobbled streets over 5,000 miles away from her suffering godson in Venice, Italy, and it was life as usual for the star.
Proving that business never stops, Stone posed for the cameras during a high-fashion photo shoot for Dolce and Gabbana.
Dripping in her designer duds, the actress attempted to put on a brave face as onlookers and the photographer snapped away.
Fast-forward to two days later when Stone was wandering through the airport in New York.
She looked laser-focused on getting out of the facility without any interruptions.
Wearing a cable-knit sweatshirt, jeans, and sneakers, Stone held her head high while sporting a cheetah-print face mask and made zero stops on her way out of the building.
River was Stone's brother Patrick's youngest child. The Ohio resident also shares two other kids with his wife, Tasha.
Fans have began filling Stone's post with praying hand emojis and hearts.
