Former NFL Star Shannon Sharpe Blasts Dr. Dre's Homeless Daughter After She Claims Mogul Father Won't Help Her Financially
Shannon Sharpe doesn't feel bad for Dr. Dre's homeless daughter.
The former NFL star is lighting up 38-year-old LaTanya Young, who recently gave an interview claiming she lives in her car after her famous father cut her off financially.
Speaking openly about her strained relationship with her self-proclaimed billionaire father, LaTanya told Daily Mail that she's working as a DoorDash delivery driver and fears she may be stuck sleeping on the street soon.
Dre's daughter also claims her dad stopped giving her money after she began talking to the press.
While several took sympathy with the Beats Electronics founder's homeless daughter, Sharpe made it clear where he stands -- and that's with Dre.
Reposting an article of LaTanya's interview, the Undisputed host clapped back, writing, "A 38yr old grown woman trying to shame her father into taking care of responsibilities she created."
When Sharpe collected backlash for his comments, he stood his ground.

"My child could be 40 years old and I’d never allow them to live in a car. I’d never allow my grandchildren to live with my child’s ‘friends.’ Knowing how hard it is out here," one critic wrote, to which Sharpe responded, "That’s you, but you can’t be upset with Dre. She said assistance stopped in 2020, did you ask yourself, why?”
After someone sided with the former NFL star, he wrote back, "Ppl will F up your money and get upset when you say, no more. Then try and put you on blast."
Sharpe then asked the million dollar question: "Why wasn't she going to the tabloids when Dre was helping?"
As RadarOnline.com reported, LaTanya claimed Dre had been giving her an allowance and paying for her rent until January 2020.
She told Daily Mail that she had her phone turned off and is in jeopardy of getting her car repossessed. “I’m taking odd jobs just to make it now, I got paid $15 an hour as an assembler at the warehouse. I’m trying to keep my head above water. I’ve been in debt for a while," she said.
LaTanya, who is a mom of three, says her children are staying with friends. She also pulled the grandparent card on Dre. "My kids are old enough to know who he is. They are in shock he doesn’t want anything to do with them," she said.
