Ortiz-Magro's only child – 3-year-old daughter Ariana Sky Magro – was in his care at the time of the incident, prompting the child's mother – Ortiz-Magro's ex-girlfriend, Jen Harley – to get from her home in Las Vegas to Los Angeles as quickly as possible. After Ortiz-Magro was taken into custody and prior to Harley arriving in L.A., Ariana was in the care of Ronnie's brother.

At the time, Ortiz-Magro's attorney, Scott Leemon, released the following statement: "We have just learned of the new allegations against Ronnie and need some additional time to further investigate. As such, we will not be making any other statements at this time."

Thursday's arrest could cause a lot of trouble for the Jersey Shore star, as Ortiz-Magro is currently on probation stemming from his previous arrest for similar allegations.

In October 2019, police arrested Ronnie after he allegedly assaulted then-girlfriend Jen Harley in a rental home.

In the police report, officers said Harley claimed Ortiz-Magro chased her around the pad with a knife while he held their daughter in his arms. Ronnie allegedly dropped the weapon and locked himself in the bathroom with Ariana.

Per the report, Harley was able to escape by running out of the home, and police arrived on the scene after receiving numerous calls from neighbors who heard screaming. Because Ortiz-Magro refused to comply with law enforcement officers, cops were forced to break down the door.

Ronnie was hit with charges relating to domestic violence, though the reality star eventually reached a plea deal with prosecutors. He avoided jail time but was ordered to 36 months probation.

The new arrest could trigger a probation violation, and a judge could decide to throw him in jail.
