'RHOSLC' Star Jen Shah's Aunt Nani, Who Inspired Mary Cosby's 'Smells Like Hospital' Remark, Has Died
Jen Shah's beloved Aunt Nani has died. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star made the heartbreaking announcement on her social media Monday.
Shah went to bat for her aunt in season one of the Bravo show after her co-star Mary Cosby said Jen "smelled like hospital" after a recent visit to see Nani.
RHOSLC fans were introduced to Nani when she was featured on the season two premiere, which aired on Sunday.
Posting several pictures with Nani from her childhood, Shah shared the sad news.
"It’s taken me a while to be able to post this. I needed time to process the shock, tremendous heartache, and endless tears of losing Auntie Nani almost two months ago," she captioned the post.
Revealing how special Nani was to her, Shah continued, "She impacted so many lives and loved so many. She was a second mother to me and was an example of always living your best life, always grateful and giving back even when faced with adversity. Her bravery is unmatched and I only hope to carry on the example she was to so many."
Ending her emotional message, the reality star said her goodbye. "I miss you Auntie Nani...I love you so much. Now you can dance with the angels in heaven," she wrote.
Cosby's "smell like hospital" comment caused a huge rift between her and Shah during the first season of the breakout franchise.
