Owen Wilson Has 'Never Met' His 3-Year-Old Lookalike Daughter Lyla, Claims Actor's Baby Mama Varunie Vongsvirates
Owen Wilson's third and youngest child just turned 3, but the actor has apparently never even met her.
In a recent photo shared by the 52-year-old star's baby mama, Varunie Vongsvirates, little Lyla's resemblance to her daddy is uncanny.
The tiny tot looked like a dead ringer for Owen in the adorable Sunday snap that put her porcelain skin, button nose, big blue eyes and perfect little pout on display for the camera.
The new toddler proudly showed off her straw hat and white sweater, the perfect ensemble for any fashionista.
"Happy 3rd birthday to my wild child! I love you so much!!!!" her adoring mom captioned the angelic image, which she posted to her Instagram.
Though not much is known about Varunie, she is 37 years old and often shares photos of her baby girl on social media. Owen is not present in any.
Wilson and Vongsvirates, 37, dated casually for about five years before parting ways.
Sources claim he "knew all along that Varunie was pregnant" and was "told when Varunie was four weeks" along – but apparently, he wanted no part of it.
Lyla was born in October of 2018. A month later, insiders told Us Weekly that Wilson "refuses to meet his daughter. He even checked the no visitation box in court in June … He does not want to visit [and does not] want any custody of her."
Initially, there was speculation about whether Lyla was even Owen's child; however, a paternity test taken before her birth confirmed that he was her dad.
Even then, Vongsvirates gave birth without Wilson by her side, and The Us Weekly source added that he did not contact the new mom "at all" following Lyla's arrival.
"Of course, if a paternity test establishes that he is the father of another child, he will fulfill all of his obligations to support his child," noted the insider at the time.
However, in 2019, Vongsvirates got candid about her journey of raising Lyla by herself.
She told The Daily Mail that her ex-boyfriend was an absent parent and "not involved at all" with their daughter.
"He helps financially but it's never been about that," she told the outlet. "Lyla needs a father. It's ironic how [Owen] keeps getting these father roles, he's playing a father in his new movie, and he's never met his own daughter."
When asked if she had a message for her ex, Varunie replied, "You should see your daughter, she's incredible, you're really missing out. She looks just like you."
The most bizarre part about all this is that Wilson has two other children from two different women.
The actor shares 10-year-old son Robert with ex-girlfriend Jade Duell, and 6-year-old son Finn with fitness trainer Caroline Lindqvist.
In August, Owen spoke publicly about being a dad to his sons but did not mention a third child.
