Michael Madsen's Son Hudson Madsen Dead At 26 Following Suspected Suicide
Michael Madsen’s son has reportedly been found dead following a suspected suicide.
According to The Sun, the Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill star’s 26-year-old son, Hudson, was reportedly found dead from a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head. A veteran of the United States Army who served in Afghanistan, Hudson was living on the Hawaiian island of Oahu with his wife Carlie when the suspected suicide took place.
“I can confirm Hudson Lee Madsen, 26, died by a gunshot wound to the head in a suspected suicide on the island of Oahu,” the Department of the Medical Examiner in Honolulu’s spokesperson revealed Monday.
Hudson’s father Michael is a well-known Hollywood star who has collaborated on a number of films with Quentin Tarantino, so much so that Tarantino was Hudson’s godfather.
Leading up to the heartbreaking tragedy, Hudson’s wife Carlie posted to social media to express how much she loved the 26-year-old.
“He’s also been amazing in helping with my recovery and I’m just so thankful!” she wrote after stating how Hudson was an “amazing husband.”
"We are heartbroken and overwhelmed with grief and pain at the loss of Hudson,” his family said in a statement shortly after the news of his death. “His memory and light will be remembered by all who knew and loved him."
The outlet also reported that Hudson’s mother, 61-year-old DeAnna Madsen, was traveling to the Hawaiian island to handle the aftermath of her son’s passing.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Hudson’s suicide at 26-years-old comes only one week after actress Regina King’s son also took his own life at the age of 26.
On Wednesday, January 19, Ian Alexander Jr. – who King shared with her ex-husband and record producer Ian Alexander Sr. – took his own life on his 26th birthday.
Although it has not been revealed how exactly Alexander Jr. took his own life, his mother confirmed his passing in a statement.
"Our family is devastated at the deepest level by the loss of Ian," King said. "He is such a bright light who cared so deeply about the happiness of others. Our family asks for respectful consideration during this private time. Thank you."
