Star Power Showdown: Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton 'on Very Different Paths' Amid Bitter Rift That Cannot Mend
Catherine, Princess of Wales and Meghan Markle use their star power differently as both royal women are "personally and professionally" polar opposites, RadarOnline.com has learned.
This led former royal correspondent Jennie Bond to share, "Catherine and Meghan are indeed two very different women and are now on very different paths."
"Everything Catherine does is to help others, the disadvantaged, the young, and now those suffering from cancer," she added. "It's not for money, or fame or self-aggrandizement. It is to help people who are in trouble or difficulty and to do good."
She then stated, "I believe Meghan is also using her star power to bring attention to certain causes and people who need help. The campaign that she and Harry have started to limit the dangers of the digital world to our children is admirable. But she is also very active in the commercial world."
The Duchess of Sussex is currently involved in several projects of a more commercial nature, which the future queen "could never attempt."
Meghan is said to be working on a Netflix cooking series, and a new podcast for Lemonada Media, both reportedly due for release early next year.
With this in mind, Bond further observed, "There is nothing wrong with that — Harry and Meghan were quite transparent when they left the royal family that they wanted the freedom to earn their living in the commercial world, so we should not be surprised when we see her building her brand."
The polar opposite royal ladies both famously clashed early on in their relationship at the 2018 Royal Foundation Summit, which continues to fascinate both royal and Sussex fans six years later thanks to Prince Harry's book Spare.
The summit was a chance for the four millennial royals, which also included Prince William, to lay out the causes for the initiatives they wished to champion in the coming years. The filmed discussion took place three months before Harry and Meghan's wedding.
The forum led to the quartet of thirtysomethings being labeled the "Fab Four" by the British press, which was to be short-lived. According to the Duke of Sussex's memoir, Kate and Meghan started having issues at that event, and it happened backstage.
"All this came on the heels of an awkward moment backstage. Meg asked to borrow Kate's lip gloss. An American thing. Meg forgot hers, worried she needed some, and turned to Kate for help," the prince wrote.

During the interview, the Duchess of Sussex reportedly got frustrated when the microphone was passed from William to Harry and then to Kate — seemingly avoiding her "at all costs."
While Kate talked about their shared passions, Meghan used the platform as an opportunity to discuss her feminism.
