Lil Wayne is being investigated by Los Angeles authorities after allegedly pulling an assault rifle on a security guard who refused to leave his mansion.
According to the Daily Mail, officers from the L. A. County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Wednesday, December 1, involving reports of an assault with a deadly weapon.
When deputies responded to the Hidden Hills, CA mansion shortly after 1:30 PM, they met with a bodyguard who claimed he got into a verbal argument that turned physical when the resident of the mansion allegedly pulled out an AR-15.
According to reports, the heated dispute started when Lil Wayne accused the guard of snapping pictures of the 39-year-old rapper and then giving them to the media.
The guard reportedly claimed that Wayne asked him to leave the premises, but when the guard went to the bathroom, Wayne allegedly pulled out the AR-15 and brandished it.
That is when the guard reportedly fled to the guard shack of the gated community where Wayne’s mansion is located, and ultimately called the police.
According to the police reports, the rapper was no longer at his residence when they arrived on the scene and interview the alleged victim.
It is not known if Wayne was ever even at the mansion, or if he fled when the alleged incident with the security guard took place. Nonetheless, many people reportedly have their doubts regarding the security guard’s story and what he claims took place.
Sources close to the rapper reportedly told TMZ that Wayne is denying the guard’s claim. They also claimed the rapper doesn’t own a gun, let alone an AR-15.
The outlet also reported that sources told them the L. A. County Sheriff’s Office is allegedly skeptical about what the guard claims transpired at the mansion between him and Wayne.
The guard was reportedly not injured during the alleged physical altercation and refused to press charges against Wayne for the incident.
Despite some skepticism about the alleged victim's story, the sheriff’s office announced they will investigate either way.
