Kim Kardashian Looks Ready For Battle After Jetting Back To California To Face Off With Kanye West In Divorce Court
Kim Kardashian isn't letting Kanye West's bizarre divorce strategy intimidate her. The former Keeping Up With The Kardashians star looked ready for battle just hours before her attorneys are set to face off with the rapper in divorce court. Kim was photographed back on US soil Tuesday, marking her first sighting since trading Milan Fashion Week for a courtroom showdown with her soon-to-be ex-husband.
The 41-year-old looked unfazed by Kanye's move to fire his lawyer just hours before court. Trading her designer duds for a casual fit, Kim rocked black jeans, a matching t-shirt, and an unbuttoned, baggy burgundy top. Keeping it low-key all the way down to her shoes, the reality star-turned-billionaire mogul opted for sneakers instead of her usual sky-high heels.
Wearing dark sunglasses and slicking her hair back in a chic bun, Kim looked ready for whatever surprises Ye decides to throw at her next.
Fresh off her days-long vacation in Italy, Kim proved it's business as usual now that she's touched down in Los Angeles. The Hulu star was seen walking out of an office building with her daughter North West, 8, in tow. Kim and Kanye's oldest child looked trendy in a long gray sweater that read "mad happy" and retro white sneakers.
Hanging on a friend, North flashed her pearly whites at the camera, giving no indication she's aware of the drama unfolding between her parents.
Kim filed for divorce in February 2021, and it's been an uphill battle ever since. Ye begged Kim to take him back, but his cries turned to anger. The rapper then began targeting her new boyfriend, Pete Davidson.
Kanye's outbursts forced Kim to rush to court, begging the judge to terminate her marital status before their divorce is even finalized. She claimed her ex was causing her "emotional distress."
At first, Ye wasn't having it and fought his estranged wife's request. As of Tuesday night — after firing another divorce attorney — the Grammy winner says he's giving up the battle against Mrs. Kardashian West.
"I’ve asked my team to expedite the dissolution of my marriage to Kim so I can put my entire attention into our beautiful children," he told Hollywood Unlocked.
The famous duo was married for 6 years. They share four children — North, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2.
