'Jersey Shore' Star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Speaks Out About 'Mental Illness' Following Domestic Violence Arrest

Jersey Shore star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is addressing "mental illness" just weeks after being arrested for domestic violence.

The 35-year-old took to his social media and dropped a deep post about being "not okay" on Friday night. 

Sharing a quote from an unknown source, the MTV personality showed his support to those who are struggling with their mental health.

“It’s okay to feel unstable,” the message read.

“It’s okay to disassociate. It’s okay to hide from the world. It’s okay to need help. It’s okay to not be okay," it continued.

The powerful quote ended by saying, "Your mental illness is not a personal failure.”

Ronnie posted the message just days after it was revealed he will not be charged with a felony over the alleged domestic violence incident involving his girlfriend, Saffire Matos.

According to law enforcement sources, the L.A. County District Attorney's Office decided there wasn't enough evidence to bring forth the serious charge.

But Ronnie isn't completely off the hook just yet.

As RadarOnline.com reported, the Jersey Shore personality could still be hit with a misdemeanor charge.

The case was moved to the L.A. City Attorney's Office, who is now deciding Ronnie's fate.

His lawyer spoke out following the news.

"If this reporting is true, as we said from the beginning, initial reports and unreviewed charges are often and; in Ronnie’s case, wrong. We are glad the DA’s office made this decision not to charge a felony. We will await a decision from the County Attorney’s office," Scott Leemon said in a statement.

In April, Ronnie was arrested after Matos called the cops on him.

When authorities responded to the scene, they reportedly observed visible bruising on her face.

The MTV star was booked on a felony charge but was only in jail for a few hours.

Ronnie was released after posting $100,000 bond.

Matos spoke up after the arrest was made public and tried to play it cool.

"Ronnie and I are fine there is a lot misleading information floating around there. With anybody who reached out with concern I appreciate it with all my heart, but everything that’s being portrayed out there are not facts," she wrote on social media. 

Ronnie has yet to address the incident.
