Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her longtime fiancé, Riley Roberts, have reportedly ended their relationship after four years of engagement.

The former couple first met as undergraduate students at Boston University. Although they broke up after graduation, they rekindled their romance several years later and eventually got engaged in 2022.

At the time, AOC confirmed the news while thanking supporters for their well wishes.

She also told Business Insider, "We got engaged last month in my family's hometown in Puerto Rico. No future details yet; we're taking some space to savor this time before diving into planning."

Now, a new report claims that AOC and Roberts quietly called it quits following their 2022 engagement. RadarOnline.com can now reveal everything to know about their reported split.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Riley Roberts were together for years before their split.

According to The New York Times, AOC and Roberts had called off their engagement and "quietly" split "some time ago."

Puck's Chief Washington correspondent Leigh Ann Caldwell also claimed she was told by a "reputable Democratic source about 18 months ago that [AOC's] engagement was called off."

The exact date of the pair's breakup was not disclosed, but the news emerged just a few days after the New York representative revealed she had made "a decision that is very personal" that "has taken [her] time to consider, weigh and save up for" – starting her egg freezing journey.

"Normally, I keep my private life quite private. But I have made the decision to freeze my eggs. And I want to share this because I was weighing it for a very long time, and there isn't a ton out there, and it can feel very daunting," she confirmed on her Instagram Stories. "This is a choice that I am making to feel more in control of my life."

Democratic sources also told the news outlet the congresswoman has gone without the ring for some time, raising questions about the status of the engagement.

One insider told the New York Post that Roberts seemed like an "awkward guy as a partner for a dynamic woman," adding, "Whenever he was around at events, he never spoke. No one thought she actually liked him."

The absence of AOC's engagement ring, which she previously said was made from recycled gold, was especially noticeable when she and Roberts were last photographed together at a Manhattan burger joint in May.

When asked by a New York Post reporter about her relationship status outside her Queens apartment months later, AOC kept her response brief: "I don't comment on my private life – thank you."
