Pro Golfer Dan Bowling Arrested After Allegedly Trying To Meet 15-Year-Old Girl For Sex

Professional golfer Dan Bowling has been arrested after allegedly trying to meet a 15-year-old girl for sex following a month of sexting.
The 26-year-old, who police describe as a "dangerous online predator," was napped by cops in Orlando, Florida on Thursday.
Bowling thought he had been communicating with the underage girl since April, but it was actually a detective pretending to be the teen who says their conversation “turned sexual in nature within the first 24 hours and intensified quickly."
According to the pro golfer's booking sheet obtained by RadarOnline.com, Bowling faces several felony charges including attempted lewd and lascivious battery, obscene communication, travel to meet with a minor, transmission of harmful materials to a minor by electronic device, and more.
He had allegedly first contacted the decoy on AdChat early last month.
Bowling was arrested "without incident" by detectives and Special Enforcement Division officers "as he arrived to meet up with the decoy," reports PEOPLE.
"Unfortunately, there are potentially hundreds of predators like Mr. Bowling online," Jennifer Wing from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force told the outlet.
"I hope news of today's arrest encourages parents to be more proactive in monitoring their children's lives online," she added.
Bowling's arrest comes one week after 19 And Counting star Josh Duggar was taken into custody on child porn charges.
As RadarOnline.com reported, the 33-year-old disgraced TLC star was arrested on April 29 on charges of receiving and possessing child pornography, to which he pled not guilty.
Duggar was released from jail on Thursday but he was unable to go home to his pregnant wife, Anna Duggar, and their six kids.
He is required to live with a third-party custodian and his parent's church friends stepped up to the task.

Duggar is not allowed to have any communication with minors but has "unlimited contact" with his children as long as Anna is present.
He must wear a GPS ankle monitor and is permitted from accessing the Internet.
Duggar's child porn trial begins June 6.
If found guilty, he faces up to 20 years in prison.
