Fetty Wap had a run-in with the police while making a trip to the airport, resulting in him being taken into custody by the authorities.
The arrest comes just a month after he was released from jail after being accused of smuggling and distributing drugs across Long Island and New Jersey.
According to reports, sources revealed police had received an alert about his ankle monitor while the rapper was at Newark Liberty Airport.
The police later approached Fetty and ran a security background check before discovering he had a warrant out for his arrest.
The details of the warrant are unclear at this time. However, reports indicated it may have stemmed from a public nuisance case in North Bergen, New Jersey.
The sources also revealed the Trap Queen singer was able to get released on bail.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Fetty had been released from the police custody in November after posting a $500,000 bond.
A little over a week prior, he was booked into jail by the FBI on drug charges related to what authorities described as an elaborate distribution scheme.
Fetty, whose real name is William Junior Maxwell II, was arrested along with five others while the group was at the Rolling Loud music festival in New York. All of them were charged with conspiring to distribute and possess controlled substances.
Five of the arrestees were also charged with using firearms in connection with the alleged drug trafficking ring. The group reportedly distributed 100 kilos of opioids and fentanyl from the West Coast to the East Coast. The FBI had released several photos of the drugs and money seized during the alleged drug bust.
Following his arrest, the FBI agent Michael Driscoll shared, "The fact that we arrested a chart-topping rap artists and a corrections officer as part of the conspiracy illustrates just how vile the drug trade has become."
Although after being released on bond, Fetty has been ordered to follow some restrictions, including wearing GPS, and submitting to random drug testing. In addition, ihe must get approval from Pretrial Services and the U.S. Attorney's Office if he needs to travel for work purposes.
Fetty and his team are still yet to comment on his recent arrest and charges.
