Britney Spears wasted no time, lighting up a cigarette while taking a solo drive after her father Jamie Spears stepped down as her conservator.
The 39-year-old pop star was caught smoking while driving her white Mercedes on Friday near her Thousand Oaks, CA home.
Rolling down her window just a smidge to let the smoke out, Spears was unapologetic in her pre-weekend smoke session.
Giving in to temptation, the Oops!... I Did It Again singer proved she can do what she wants now that her father has stepped aside -- and that, apparently, includes smoking.
Spears wore her blonde hair up in a messy bun and sported oversized sunglasses and a giant chain around her neck during her drive.
This is the first time anyone has seen the music icon out and about after her victory earlier this week.
Just hours before Jamie removed himself as her conservator, Spears returned to social media for the first time in days.
Spears looked joyful in a crop top and shorts, and moments later, we found out why.
As RadarOnline.com reported, Spears announced she would be slowing down on her social media presence after a judge denied her request to immediately remove Jamie as conservator over her estate.
Spears may have suffered a slight setback in her battle with Jamie, but she won the war when her dad voluntarily stepped down after 13-years as her conservator.
On Thursday, it was reported Jamie was gearing up to file paperwork that read, “There are, in fact, no actual grounds for suspending or removing Mr. Spears as the Conservator of the Estate ... and it is highly debatable whether a change in conservator at this time would be in Ms. Spears' best interests."
“Nevertheless, even as Mr. Spears is the unremitting target of unjustified attacks, he does not believe that a public battle with his daughter over his continuing service as her conservator would be in her best interests."
Britney has been vocal about her desire to remove her father as her conservator. She got a fancy lawyer and is prepared to continue the fight in her conservatorship battle when they head to court next month.
