Britney Spears' dad is coming after his ex-wife after finally stepping down as the singer's conservator.
Jamie Spears proved he couldn't walk away without causing some last-minute damage.
In new court papers, he claims Lynne Spears has used "$2 million" dollars of Britney's money to fund her own lavish lifestyle, which allegedly includes a mansion in Louisianna with a full maid staff.
"Despite their estranged relationship, the Conservatorship Estate, during the entire duration of the Conservatorship, has paid and continues to pay for the mansion in Louisiana where Lynne lives," the documents read. “Including all of her utility bills, weekly maid service, and all maintenance (totaling upwards of $150,000 per year and to date, nearly $2,000,000 in total).”
Jamie maintains he “saved Ms. Spears from disaster," and claims Lynne has had “little if any” involvement in Britney's life.
“Lynne has had only limited involvement in Ms. Spears’ life these last thirteen years. She has not had a parental role in her life for decades,” Jamie's lawyers state.
Jamie's attempt to shine the negative light on Lynne comes just one day after he decided to finally throw in the towel as the conservator over Britney's estate.
The Grammy winner proved victorious after being vocal for months about her desire for Jamie to no longer be involved in her conservatorship.
Britney got her wish on Thursday. According to reports, Jamie was getting ready to file paperwork that read, “There are, in fact, no actual grounds for suspending or removing Mr. Spears as the Conservator of the Estate ... and it is highly debatable whether a change in conservator at this time would be in Ms. Spears' best interests."
“Nevertheless, even as Mr. Spears is the unremitting target of unjustified attacks, he does not believe that a public battle with his daughter over his continuing service as her conservator would be in her best interests," it added.
Britney's 13-year conservatorship battle is not over.
She heads to court in September with her new high-powered attorney to continue the fight.
