Britney Spears Denied Request To Remove Dad Jamie As Conservator
Britney Spears has been denied her request to remove her father, Jamie Spears, as conservator of her estate.
According to reports, the judge in the 39-year-old pop icon's conservatorship battle just handed down the decision, stating that Jamie stays in control, at least for now.
The judge's decision was made after Britney's emotional testimony last week, in which she pled to break free from her dad's control.
The Grammy winner's lawyer, Sam Ingham, filed documents in November asking the court to oust Jamie as Britney's conservator.
Ingham recently filed legal documents asking the court to appoint Bessemer Trust as Britney's co-conservator in place of Jamie.
Bessemer has now officially been granted the singer's co-conservator but her father isn't going anywhere.
The judge reportedly decided that Jamie will remain co-conservator of Britney's estate.
The judge also made it loud and clear that Ingham's request to remove her father was denied.
Britney's battle isn't over yet.

Nothing is stopping her lawyer from filing another request.
As for Bessemer, there are still legal documents that need to be filed for the judge's ruling to take effect.
At the moment, Jamie Spears is still the sole conservator of Britney's estate.
As RadarOnline.com reported, the Oops!... I Did It Again singer addressed the judge in a virtual hearing last week, which was made public at the pop star's request.
Britney slammed her father and threw out several damning allegations, including comparing her 13-year conservatorship to "sex trafficking."
She also told the judge that Jamie "should be in jail" for what he let her endure over the years.
The most shocking claim Britney made was that she has no control over her body.
The singer told the judge that she wants to get married and have a baby, but her father won't let her remove her IUD.
“I want to get married and have a baby,” she said during her testimony. “I want [the IUD] taken out so I can start trying to have another baby. But this so-called team won’t let me go to the doctor to take it out because they don’t want me to have any more children.”
Following the hearing, Britney got the hell out of Dodge and jetted to Hawaii with her boyfriend, Sam Asghari.
