Axl Rose has sparked concerns over his ability to keep performing after undergoing dramatic jaw surgery just days before powering through a marathon three-hour Guns N' Roses concert, Radaronline.com can reveal.
Rose revealed his health battle onstage in East Rutherford, New Jersey, explaining that he had recently undergone a procedure to treat temporomandibular joint disorder, or TMJ – a condition affecting movement of the jaw.
Axl Rose Battling Severe TMJ Disorder On Tour

Rose revealed his recent procedure for temporomandibular joint disorder.
The singer is currently performing with Guns N' Roses on the North American leg of the band's latest tour.
The timing of the procedure so close to a major performance raised concerns about the strain involved in continuing to sing while still recovering, particularly after Rose admitted part of his mouth remained numb.
However, he still completed the lengthy New Jersey show despite describing performing as "challenging."
Addressing the audience, Rose said: "I had really crazy TMJ. When I'm singing it's kind of like somebody's in my ear, like Bugs Bunny is eating in my ear, a carrot and celery and s--- is popping around. I had to do a tube. I had that done a couple of days ago."
Rose then revealed the "left side of my mouth" was "still f------ numb."
He sighed: "It gets interesting. It's challenging."
Vocal Demands Threaten Long-Term Recovery

The left side of Rose's mouth remained completely numb during a concert.
TMJ disorders affect movement around the jaw and can produce symptoms including headaches around the temples and clicking, popping, or grinding sounds when sufferers move their jaws.
The jaw can also lock when the mouth is opened.
For a singer whose performances depend on extreme vocal power and physical control, Rose's decision to return to the stage within days of treatment inevitably placed attention on whether his recovery could affect forthcoming concerts.
The 64-year-old's ability to complete three hours in East Rutherford nevertheless provided an immediate demonstration that the operation had not prevented him from performing.
'They've Got Me on IVs and a Bunch of Injections'

Rose previously battled through a severe stomach illness onstage in Abu Dhabi.
Rose has previously refused to allow illness to immediately stop a Guns N' Roses concert. During a 2018 performance in Abu Dhabi, the Welcome to the Jungle hitmaker revealed from the stage that he was seriously unwell with stomach problems and had required medical treatment before appearing.
Rose told the crowd: "They've got me on IVs and a bunch of injections, 'cause I got sick today."
He added: "I've been throwing up for about the last five hours."
Rather than canceling the concert before it began, Rose attempted to perform.
"So, instead of canceling, I'm gonna do the best show we can do for you," the performer said. However, the performance ultimately had to be cut short because of his condition.
The End of Guns N' Roses?

Rose reunited with original members Slash and Duff McKagan in 2016
A source told Radar: "Axl is not getting any younger, and his latest health problem poses a particularly unusual challenge because the affected area is directly involved in singing. There are big fears among the band and those around him that he may have to stop performing altogether very soon, against his will.
"It will be incredibly painful for him if that happens, and his millions of devoted fans."
Born William Bruce Rose Jr. in Lafayette, Indiana, Rose became one of rock's most recognizable frontmen as the lead singer of Guns N' Roses.
The band achieved global success with its 1987 debut album Appetite for Destruction, featuring hits including Sweet Child o' Mine, Welcome to the Jungle, and Paradise City.
Rose's distinctive voice and unpredictable stage presence helped make Guns N' Roses one of the world's biggest rock acts.
After years of lineup changes and disputes, Rose reunited with guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan in 2016, launching hugely successful international tours.
