Alec Baldwin's wife Hilaria fled their home in the Big Apple with her kids and pets after the actor accidentally shot his crew members with a prop gun containing "live around."
The duo's friend was spotted carrying their children and packing up their belongings outside of their apartment in Manhattan.
A woman pictured wearing sunglasses and a black shirt was holding their kids to take them into a waiting SUV on Friday. The children wrapped their arms and legs around her, covering their faces and identity as she brought them into the vehicle.
Their friend looked somber while packing up the couple's possessions and pets into bags as they rushed to escape the media attention.
According to reports, Hilaria had already left earlier in the morning, shortly after the tragic incident took place. The yoga instructor has been married to the actor since June 2012, and they share six children - daughter Carmen Gabriela, 8, and sons Rafael, 6, Leonardo, 5, Romeo, 3, and Edu, 1.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Baldwin accidentally fired a prop gun with a live bullet while on the set of his upcoming movie, Rust. After receiving a report about a shooting, police were later called out to the scene in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The deputies from Santa Fe Sheriff's Department later confirmed "two individuals were shot" by a prop firearm "discharged by Alec Baldwin."
As a result, director of photography Halyna Hutchins "was pronounced dead" while a director, Joe Souza, was rushed to a local hospital.
"Ms. Hutchins was transported, via helicopter, to University of New Mexico Hospital where she was pronounced dead by medical personnel," the deputies said in a statement. "Mr. Souza was transported by ambulance to Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center, where he is undergoing treatment for his injuries."
Souza's representatives revealed that he had been released from the hospital Friday morning.
Officials said no charges had been filed so far, but they will continue to interview witnesses before stating the case is an "open and active" investigation.
Alec broke his silence this morning to express his "sadness" involving the incident and claimed that he is "cooperating with the police investigation" and "in touch " with Hutchins' family.
"There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother, and deeply admired colleague of ours," he wrote in a statement. "I am fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred, and I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family."
