Zac Hanson, the youngest brother of the pop band Hanson, is recovering from a motorcycle crash in Tulsa, Oklahoma earlier this week.
The 33 year old revealed he was preparing for a cross country ride when he got into a car accident on Wednesday.
In a statement published on his personal Instagram account, the group's Facebook and Twitter pages and their website, Hanson shared, “Wednesday I was involved in a wreck on my motorcycle while preparing for a cross-country ride. Though I ended up with three broken ribs, a broken collarbone, and a cracked scapula, nothing is injured that won’t heal with a little rest and time, and a healthy dose of gaming!”
He continued, ensuring that the group's scheduled tour will go on with his friend Dash Hutton serving as his temporary replacement as he recovers.
In the message, his expressed his gratitude for his protective gear, his brothers and the emergency crews, who arrived on the scene of the crash and helped him. "Thankfully with good quality protective gear, I was able to walk away, even if very slowly with the help of Isaac, Taylor, and a few of a Tulsa’s first responders,"he wrote.
He also thanked his supportive fans for their encouragement during his healing process.
"Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers, hope to see many of you soon!," the statement read, ending with the hashtag #youcantstopus.
Just a day for the detailed announcement of his accident, the star hinted at his injuries a tweet that read, “Is it bad that it takes me braking 5 bones to force me to enjoy a little hone time?”
At the time, following concerns from his fanbase, he assured them the tour would continue. “Sorry to scary anyone! I will heal and the shows will go on, even if it was def Leopold style,” he tweeted.
Details of the accident have not yet been disclosed and the cause of the crash remains.
