Causing A Royal Racket? Meghan Snubs Queen To Watch Pal Serena Williams At U.S. Open

Meghan Markle is in hot water again as it's been reported that Queen Elizabeth felt "hurt and disappointed" that the Duchess missed the royal family's Highland Games event at Balmoral Castle.
Instead, as the whole world knows, Meghan flew to New York to watch her friend Serena Williams compete in the U.S. Open women's final competition on Saturday, September 7.
Serena lost the tennis match to Bianca Andreescu of Canada, who walked away with the $3.85 million prize.
As the Mail On Sunday has reported, it was anticipated that Prince Harry and his wife would take their baby Archie to join the senior royals at Balmoral, and may even have attended this weekend’s games.
Scotland's Braemar Gathering for the Highland Games--featuring the hammer throw and tug of war--has taken place for about nine hundred years and the royal family makes an annual appearance to cheer the competitors.
The royals also enjoy a vacation in Scotland during the games.
While the Queen, her son Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, and other royals watched the action, Meghan and Harry's spokesperson said they were "too busy" and Archie, at four months, was "too young" to make the Scotland trip.
However, on Friday, Meghan shocked her subjects by taking a last-minute solo 3,500-mile flight to NY to watch Serena at the U.S. Open.
The new mom, wearing a casual denim dress, looked nervous as she supported her pal but Serena couldn't come back to beat Bianca.
A source told The Mail on Sunday that the Queen felt "hurt" by Meghan at a time when she likes to bring her friends and family together.
According to the British publication, it's understood that the Queen is already "baffled" by Meghan and Harry’s recent lack of protocol.
Meghan has been blasted as a diva and royal staffers have quit after working for her.
Critics have said she appears to be more comfortable hanging out with her celebrity friends instead of doing her royal duties.
Are she and Harry going Hollywood?
The former Suits actress, 38, recently met with representatives from the American PR company Sunshine Sachs, as The Sun first reported.
Prince Harry's wife hired the firm to help with the September edition of Vogue magazine that she guest edited, The Sun reported.
"Even thought it was the UK version of the mag, she wanted maximum coverage in America, which is the country she really cares about in terms of the media," a source told publication.
"She was incredibly hands-on with the strategy and in one meeting told the staff, 'I want to break the internet.'"
That report followed one in The Mail on Sunday that claimed Meghan and Harry are mulling a move to her native Los Angeles after facing criticism in England.
Members of the British public weren't happy about Meghan's lavish, star-studded baby shower in New York City.
There were also cries of hypocrisy over Meghan and Harry claiming to be environmentally conscious while taking private jets.
Now, the Queen is reportedly upset at her grandson's wife rushing to a tennis match in America -- instead of residing in a castle!
