Busy Philipps 'Isn't Going Quietly' After E! Cancels Star's Talk Show
Aug. 8 2019, Updated 12:43 p.m. ET
Her expensive NBC-backed talk show Busy Tonight might have been unceremoniously cancelled, but a source tells RadarOnline.com exclusively Busy Phillips "isn’t going quietly."
“She’s so angry and indignant at how things ended with her show and is getting the word out that she would happily revive it elsewhere," said the informant.
But this time — "without Tina Fey executive producing!" says the source, who says Philipps is targeting streamers like Hulu, Netflix and WarnerMedia's new HBO Max service for a revival.
The comedic actress "sees herself as the female Conan O'Brien," revealed the snitch "and she feels she's certainly deserving of a second chance at one of these other outlets."
"She's been pushing for meetings all over town!"
The insider tells RadarOnline.com exclusively the star's had "a couple of offers to join a panel show "like The Talk or The View," but "she’s not having a bar of it."
Philipps, 40, wants a show "on her own terms, and not as a plug-in ensemble." said the source.

"Busy feels she has the smarts to do this on her own, and isn’t giving up yet.”
Fans know E! did not renew Philipps' late-night talk show after it wrapped up its freshman season last May.
Philipps posted a video to Instagram announcing the network was canceling the show, which premiered Oct. 28. The final episode aired May 16.
