Amanda Knox and Chris Robinson are asking fans to donate thousands to help throw an extravagant space-themed wedding even though they secretly married in December 2018. Now, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal they purchased a beautiful mansion overlooking the ocean for a whopping $718,000 before asking fans for cash!
In a Statutory Warranty Deed obtained from a King County Court, Knox, 32, and Robinson, 37, purchased a home in Vashon, Washington.
According to Zillow, the home was listed for sale on January 26, 2019 for $725,000. The couple bought the house for $718,000 on March 13, 2019.
The stunning 3,650 square-foot home boasts three bedrooms, three bathrooms and has a large deck that overlooks the beach!
“Exceptional home on quiet street with gorgeous views,” the Zillow description read. “Tranquil setting with 1.97 acres of custom landscaping, lush garden beds, and towering evergreens. Feel the light around you as you relax in the main floor great room! It features soaring vaulted ceilings with spacious living & dining areas, expansive view windows, brick fireplace with wood insert & sliders to large view deck.”
In January, Italy was ordered to pay Knox $20,000 in damages for her mistreatment during the trial for her roommate Meredith Kercher’s November 2007 murder.
RadarOnline.com broke thatThe Truth About True Crime podcast host and her author husband, who produces the show, secretly tied the knot on December 1, 2018 in Washington State. They got married just days after their space-themed engagement in November.
Earlier this month, the two asked fans to help fund their over-the-top, space-themed wedding.
“Let's face it, we don't need any more stuff,” the wedding registry read. “So please, no gifts, and no pressure. But if you feel so inclined, we welcome help putting on the best party ever for our family and friends! Instead of a traditional registry, we're accepting donations towards the cost of the wedding.”
The donations include $2,000 for a temporal patron. The description reads, “We'll be able to make this night transcend the moment, not just with photos, but with an A/V time capsule. We'll also send you a special video from the future, reading you an excerpt from the Encyclopedia Galactica -- just tell us what subject you want us to look up in the future archives!”

They also asked for $1,000 for a galactic patron. The description explains, “With your help, our coalescence will become ever grander in scale, with more outrageous costumes, crazier puzzles, mind-bending sets, and extravagant alien food. And when the Beastie Boys' ‘Intergalactic’ hits the crowd like a supernova, we'll be shouting our praises to you!"
Other donations include $100 for the venue, $150 for the set and décor, $25 for lights and sound, $100 for special effects, $50 for games, puzzles and curiosities, $100 for costumes, $25 for paradox props, $25 for hair and makeup, $75 for childcare for when the adults get “rowdy,” $100 for their honeymoon to Thailand, Alps or Shanghai, and more.
Fans who choose to donate will receive a signed, limited edition copy of The Cardio Tesseract, which is their joint book of love poems.
In an August 1 press release, Knox confirmed RadarOnline.com’s story that they tied the knot in December 2018. She explained how they got married to “simplify” their taxes and insurance.
She then responded to the backlash of asking fans to help pay for their February 29, 2020 wedding.
“We are paying for everything upfront ourselves. And like many young couples today, we’ve replaced the traditional gift registry with a wedding fund," she read. "Thousands of people do this every year because traditional gift registries are outmoded — couples who already live together don’t need toasters and dishware.”
As readers know, Knox was convicted of murder in 2009 and sentenced to 26 years in prison. The ruling was overturned in 2011. She has vehemently denied having any involvement in her roommate's murder.
