As RadarOnline.com first reported more than a month ago, HGTV has officially given Tarek El Moussa his own show on the network, more than a year after divorcing his Flip or Flop co-host Christina El Moussa.
The network made the announcement Tuesday, July 23, revealing the new original series will be called Flipping 101 With Tarek El Moussa.
The 14-episode series will feature Tarek as he “mentors real estate novices to help them learn the secrets of a successful flip,” according to HGTV.
“My passion for real estate has led me to flip hundreds of homes over the years and I’ve been incredibly lucky as an entrepreneur to build a successful business,” said Tarek. “Now I get to help first-time flippers learn the ropes, find the best property deals and show them how to make the most profit on their investment.”
Sources previously told RadarOnline.com that the father of two is pumped he finally gets to bask in the spotlight without his ex-wife constantly by his side.
“He’s excited!” a source close to Tarek told RadarOnline.com. “It’s just his show.”
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Tarek and Christina went through a bitter divorce, which was finalized in early 2018. They share one daughter, Taylor, and a son, Brayden.
Tarek also will star in a new solo digital series that promises to offer fans “a glimpse of Tarek’s personal life as he works hard, plays hard and then slows down to enjoy quality time with his kids and family.”
But Christina isn’t completely out of Tarek’s life. The duo will return for a new season of Flip or Flop on Aug. 1. Meanwhile, Flipping 101 With Tarek El Moussa is slated to premiere in early 2020.
